Work, Work, Work...

Work, work, work…The days of our lives keep us busy. We often  become overwhelmed in the rituals of routine, which rob us of  opportunity to recognize God has given us ability to do great things.

We go through motions to fulfill our responsibilities, and become burdened when we have difficulty completing tasks on our own. We forget to make time to prepare our hearts to set the stage for what’s to come. And, we forget who is in charge of our days.

God reminds us He is the Master Manager of our lives. He lovingly guides, and allows us to recognize how we can work for Him. Only God knows how to motivate, and equip us to serve Him. When we recognize how to put Him first in our lives, we learn to follow His lead and understand what it means to work with a servant’s grateful heart.

Jesus lived his life on earth serving others. Led by His Father to do His will, He lovingly completed even the most menial tasks to accomplish great things. We never know how God will use us for His glory, or demonstrate the value of our worth.

God often connects us with others so we will be reminded He has great purpose for our lives. He leads us to the place we begin to see ourselves as more than just workers for hire. God reminds us we are trained by Him. He provides the tools for us to discover His great purpose, and trains us to serve Him with all of our hearts.

There will be reward for the fruits of our labor when we use the gifts God gives us to serve Him. When we work, work, work, God will allow us to accomplish great things. He will provide the way for us to discover the talents within us, and open our hearts wide enough to recognize there is benefit in a job well done.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23-24 NIV
