“He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.” Isaiah 40:11 NIV

There will be days we become distracted and forget to trust in the One who knows how to lead. We will forget who handles our days and need to be reminded where to find a place of calm. But, the Good Shepherd will guide us back where we belong. He will redirect the steps we take and help us when we go astray.

Sometimes, we become confused along the way. We forget which way to go and believe we’re headed in the right direction. We have difficulty moving ahead and become lost in wonder, when the journey of life is not allowing us to feel the love of Jesus.

Perhaps, we need to recognize we’re lost, so Christ will prepare us to be found in Him. He is the gentle Provider of strength. He prepares us to trust in the Father. He speaks to the heart of our faithfulness and shows us which way to go. He uses experiences in our days to demonstrate His holiness. And, when we have discovered the power of His peace, He shows us how to welcome the grace of God and reminds us who plans our days.

Christ will lead us on a path of purpose and show us how it feels to embrace a grateful heart. He will remind us to trust. And, He will open our hearts to recognize the guiding of God’s mighty love. But, we must learn to TRUST and we must choose to follow Him.

Dear God, Thank you for Your love. You are tender and gentle as You lift us to Your arms of strength and carry us all the days of our lives. Forgive us when we go astray and forget how to be led by Your holiness. Humble our hearts, so we will recognize the power of Your strength and allow ourselves to be forever guided by the offering of Your precious love. Amen
