I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Philippians 3: 10-12 NIV

As we ready our hearts to welcome Easter, we’re humbled to appreciate the love God has for each one of us. We gratefully understand Jesus carried more than the weight of the cross, as He suffered and died.

As we consider His death, our hearts are renewed as we remember He did NOT stay in the tomb. Jesus died, but He rose again! Through his death, burial and resurrection, He humbles our hearts. He helps us see the need for forgiveness and understand the sacrifice of His everlasting love.

Jesus knows our hearts. He invites us to have a living relationship with Him and learn how it feels to be led to the Father. He longs for us to experience the love of His faithfulness and recognize how very much we are loved.

“For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 NIV

Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for our sin. He provided the way for us to TRUST in God’s will for our lives. “Christ's resurrection spanned the ages and has eternal consequences. Our hope is in the transforming truth of Easter.”

He is risen! Jesus knew glory was waiting for Him and it is waiting for each one of us. Let us joyfully begin this day in praise! We are lucky to have HOPE for tomorrow! God will provide everything we need for today. ♥

Dear God, Thank you for Jesus! We honor the One who died in our place. Fill us with desire to remember the cross and consider what it means to be held by You. Help us find strength in the power of Your love. Humble our hearts to appreciate the gift of salvation and fill us with desire to love you more…Amen

Happy Easter! He has risen! He is here. May we humble our hearts and welcome the love of Jesus! Have a glorious day. God bless you. ~ Nan
