This is a time of great challenge in our world. In the midst of turmoil and despair, people are hurting. Hearts are breaking from the brutalities of sin and it's hard to find calm, when fear fuels worry of what's to come...
Many have turned
away from the One who came to SAVE. They have not learned to humble
their hearts for Jesus. But, it’s never too late to experience the
awesome power of Christ and recognize His love for US held Him on the
cross.
We need to be reminded; Jesus did NOT remain in suffering. The blood for our salvation flowed for EACH and EVERY one. His loving gift of sacrifice brings us hope! HOPE will NOT be guaranteed by our confidence in men.
The Bible says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. How can it be clearer?
We must pray for our country and pray for guidance as we choose who will lead us to a place of peace. God will help us examine our hearts. He will help us welcome calm. But, we must TRUST in His power to save and NEVER forget; one nation under GOD is what we need.
Dear God, Thank you for the opportunity to open our eyes to Your presence of calm. Fill us with the power of peace and help us recognize how it feels to be held by Jesus. Humble our hearts, so we will understand what it takes to heal our land. And help us never forget; YOU are the only ONE who can bandage the wounds of the world and lead us to a place of wholeness. Amen
