He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 NIV

God reminds us to be still, so we will hear what is spoken. He helps us receive what needs to be heard. He reminds us why we must learn to listen. And, He helps us cultivate a listening heart.

We won’t hear God’s voice of reason, unless we’re quiet and available. He will speak to us, but we must be willing to receive. We will not hear His voice of truth, if we allow distractions of the world to prevent us from finding His calm.

God WILL speak to us. He will speak through the Bible, through others and through our circumstances. He will speak through the Holy Spirit and help us recognize we have witnessed His presence of peace.

God will speak and we will hear clearly. In moments of truth, we will understand what He’s trying to say. We must trust in Him and prepare our hearts to listen. He will help us discover what's been planned for our days and He will help us remain faithful.

Dear God, Thank you for moments to be still, so we will recognize the presence of Your greatness. Forgive us when we don’t seek You with all of our hearts. We will faithfully find rest, when our souls have been quieted by Your greatness. And, we will gratefully understand when You have spoken. Amen
