“Now faith is being sure of what we
hope for and certain of what we do not see. And, without faith it is impossible
to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and
that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Hebrews 11:1&6
Faith grows when we humble our hearts and allow Christ to lead us to the Father. In the peaceful presence of calm, we begin to discover how it feels to find strength in Him. He provides opportunity for HOPE to grow and teaches to BELIEVE He will handle ALL things.
Jesus reminds us He is near. He knows the heart of our need. And, when distractions have been silenced by our need to love Him more, He teaches how to TRUST. He sets the stage for what’s to come and shows how to faithfully follow. He reminds us God WILL do amazing things!
Even the faithful will stumble and fall. But, Christ will be there to pick us up and show how to be lifted by mercy and grace. We will learn a lot while we’re held in the arms of our Savior. Jesus will humble our hearts for Him. He will draw us closer than before and give us glimpses of what’s ahead. And, He will remind us how He is working in our lives.
God will lead us by His will. He will manage our lives. And as faith grows, He will teach us to be patient. He will show us how to seek Him with all of our love and learn how it feels to trust. We will find strength to BELIEVE in the power of His greatness, if we surrender to Him, humble our hearts, find hope in His handling of our days and choose to remain faithful.
Dear God, Thank you for reminding us to begin this day in prayers of praise. Forgive us when we forget who’s in charge of ALL things. Teach us to trust in the power of Your plan. Allow us to be gratefully guided by Your mercy and grace. Lead us where we will find HOPE in the timing of Your will and recognize what is revealed in Your plans. We will love You with all of our hearts as we faithfully follow Jesus. Amen
