And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

Christ longs for us to receive Him, but sometimes we wake to hurried moments in our lives and forget how to welcome calm. We race ahead without the strength of the Savior and wonder why we struggle in our days. Now, more than ever; we need to remember Jesus IS with us. He wants us to feel the power of love and learn how it feels to trust.

Often, we try to move ahead on our own. We wonder why things don’t happen as planned. But, Christ leads us back to the Father. The gentle Shepherd cares for His flock. When we are lost in wonder, He pulls us back where we belong and demonstrates the love of His faithfulness. He helps us recognize who is working in our lives.

God shows His power of love and covers us with grace. And, while we are held in a place of calm, He humbles the heart of our need. He nurtures a prayer of praise when we have recognized the need for His mercy.

The Bible says, “And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans. Romans 8:28 TLB God IS with us. Regardless of the circumstances we face, He IS here ! If we take time to seek Him before we choose to rise, He will arm us with EVERYTHING we need to step ahead in strength.

God will lead us back to calm. He will set the stage for what’s to come and honor the love of our faithfulness. HE is a good, good Father. He will hear us when we pray. And, He will answer us in the timing of His will.

Dear God, Thank you for moments to be reminded who is working in our lives. Forgive us when we forget who handles our days. Humble our hearts in the prayers of our need and help us find strength in YOU. As we prepare for Thanksgiving, remind us why it will honor YOU, if we begin each day in praise and remember why YOU are deserving of our love. Amen
