He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10 NIV
Life moves quickly from one moment to the next. We become consumed in holiday routines and forget how to breathe what is GOOD. We forget how it feels to welcome peace and don't take time to embrace God's breath of heaven.
God readies us for calm. He leads us to the manger. And, when we have been humbled by the power of love, He reminds us how to get ready for Christmas. He opens our hearts to receive JESUS and helps us recognize why we need Him EVERY day.
Now, more than ever we need to remember Christmas is more than the gifts we tie with a bow. God wraps the love of our Savior and offers us the present of His presence. He places HOPE where it will be found and allows us to consider His will for our lives.
Jesus brought light to the darkness. Calm came when He was delivered and held by the strength of our Father. We can put our HOPE in Him and patiently wait to feel the strength of His peace, if we open our hearts and learn to humbly seek Him.
God will bless us. He will help us find content for today and strength for tomorrow. He will help us remember why peace WILL come from the love of our Savior. We must take time to be still and never forget how very, very much we are loved.
Dear God, Thank you for moments to be reminded why we must slow down, so we will experience the presence of Your peace and recognize Your offering of love. Fill us with strength for today and HOPE for tomorrow, as we wait to welcome Jesus. Open our hearts to the greatest GIFT we will ever receive and place JOY where it will remind
