I can do all this through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4: 14 NIV

This has been a good year for many. But, others have struggled with sickness, worry and grief. In times of trouble, we need to remember Jesus meets us where we are. He patiently waits to prepare us to greet the Father. And while we are resting in love, He reminds us to reflect on the gift of His presence.

There’s much to learn while we're held by Jesus. The One who brought light to the darkness also lightens our loads. The Bible says, Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

In difficult days of doubt, God reminds us to wait for better days to come. He hears our prayers. And, when we're able to clearly see what waits to be discovered, He allows us to recognize strength comes from Him. He shows how to be patient and persevere.

Christ leads us to the Father. And, even when we don’t know what to pray, He knows the prayers of our need. He fills the empty spaces in our hearts and reminds us who’s in charge of ALL things. He cradles us in care and helps us remember we must always TRUST.

We cannot possibly know what the New Year will bring. But, we can have peace in knowing Christ IS with us. He will guide and provide. He will lead us to the Father. God will prepare us to handle what happens today, tomorrow and EVERY single moment of our lives. He will give us STRENGTH when we put our trust in Him.

Dear God, Thank you for reminding us why Your STRENGTH is made perfect in our weakness. Teach us to trust in You and never doubt the plans you have for our days. We will faithfully follow Jesus and open our hearts to the guiding of Your will. And, we will remember to faithfully TRUST in Your awesome power to save. Amen
