“He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.” Isaiah 40:11 NIV

There will be days we become distracted and forget to trust in the One who love us. We will forget who handles our days and need to be reminded where to find calm. But, the good Shepherd will guide us back where we belong. He will redirect the steps we take and guide us when we lose our way. And, if we forget which way to go, He will help us recognize how to be found in Him.

Jesus is the gentle Provider of strength. He prepares us to trust the Father. He speaks to the heart of our faithfulness and shows us what to do. He uses experiences to demonstrate the depth of His holiness. And, when we have had the chance to feel His presence of peace, He leads us where we learn to welcome the grace of God. He helps us remember who’s in charge of ALL things.

Christ will lead us in the right direction and show how it feels to embrace a trusting heart. He will remind us to put our hope in Him. He will help us recognize the guiding of God’s love. But, we need to faithfully follow and not be afraid to be guided by the love of His faithfulness.

Dear God, Thank you for Your love. You lift us with Your arms of strength and carry us in the days of our lives. Forgive us when we forget how to be led by the hope of Your holiness. Humble our hearts so we will recognize the power of Your strength and be guided by the offering of Your amazing love. Amen
