But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Matthew 14:27 NIV

There will be days when doubt will creep in the soul of our well-being. We will forget to trust in the Lord and allow ourselves to be held by His power of strength. Fear will steal our faith, and we will need to be reminded why we must bravely hold on.

Jesus performed many miracles. Peter walked on water. But, when he began to sink, he called for Jesus to help. His faith was weakened and he was afraid. When we are afraid, God longs for us to BELIEVE more, so we will SUFFER less.

When we find ourselves sinking, the sense of need drives us to the One who saves. Jesus reminds us why we must come to Him. He pulls us from waves of worry. And, when we are ready to trust, He hears our prayers for strength. He diminishes doubt that dwells in weakness and increases our faith. He leads us safely to the calm of the shore.

God will never be far from us in time of need. There WILL be storms in our lives, but He WILL strengthen our faith as He strengthens us. He will guide and provide ALL the days of our lives. We must prayerfully seek Him with all of our hearts and never forget He has the power to save. He WILL rescue us!

Dear God, Thank you for Your everlasting love. Forgive us when worry tries to rob our strength. We will believe in the power of Your presence, as FAITH becomes bigger than fear. Increase the heart of our TRUST, especially in the storms of life. And give us courage to hold on tight, when we need to be lifted by You. Thank you, Lord, Thank you! Amen
