But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, "Lord, save me." Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" Matthew 14:30-31

There will be days when doubt and fear will try to rob our faith. But Christ will find the way to help us remember to TRUST. He will lift us with arms of strength and carry us back where we belong. And while we are cradled in care, He will help us find courage to simply hold!

Jesus performed many miracles! Peter walked on the water. But, when he began to sink, he called for Christ to help. His faith was weakened and he was afraid. When we are afraid, God longs for us to BELIEVE more, so we will suffer less. He opens our eyes so we will focus on Him and surrender what holds us back from finding strength.

When we find ourselves sinking, the sense of need drives us to the One who saves. Our Savior reminds us to trust in Him. He pulls us from waves of worry. And, when we’re ready to be held, He arms us with everything we need to find shelter in Him. He shows how to be rescued!

There will be storms in our lives. But God will never be far away. He WILL strengthen our faith, as He strengthens us. He WILL guide and provide ALL of our days. We must seek Him with all of our hearts and never doubt His ability to lift us back where we belong. He is God! He loves us! Truly, He has the power to save.

Dear God, Thank you for Your presence. Forgive us when we forget to believe in the timing of Your will. Help us remain faithful when waves of worry cause us to doubt. We will find strength as we’re cradled in Your care. And we will gratefully surrender our fear. Thank you for loving us ALL the days of our lives. We’re so lucky to have a Father who knows exactly what we need! Amen
