Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act. Psalm 37:7a
When rain falls, God showers the earth. He nurtures what needs to be grown in His grace and saturates the hardened crevasses of the ground. He places HOPE in what will be discovered and reminds us to faithfully WAIT on Him.
He knows what
He’s doing. In the timing of His will, God readies us for each and every
season of our lives. He knows how to give us PEACE. He knows why we
want the sun to shine. As we wait for better days to come, He shows how
it feels to endure. He strengthens us and allows us to witness His
presence, even in the storms of our lives. He helps us persevere in
EVERY situation.
We may become weary and impatient as we wait for the rain to stop. But, God will provide strength to manage weathered doubt. He will teach us to trust in the timing of His will. He will help us remember; the weather will always change, but He will not. “Without the rain there would be no rainbows.” We will never be without the strength of His awesome love.
God will cultivate a trusting heart in His time and for His purpose. He has a plan for our days. He will guide us in His word (Bible) and demonstrates the depth of His holiness. The Maker of every living thing will allow us to receive what He provides while we wait...The sun will shine with greater reward if we allow ourselves to be warmed by its greatness and learn how it feels to faithfully TRUST.
Dear God, Thank you for waking us to another day. Rain or shine, help us feel the light of Your never ending love. We will put our HOPE in You, as we’re led through weathered days of doubt. And, we will find strength to be reminded; THIS is the DAY You have made. We will rejoice and be glad. Thank you, Lord. Thank you! Amen
