Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12: 2 NIV

Jesus knew the pain of His fate, yet He focused on JOY to come. We need to be reminded why He suffered for sin. God wants us to reflect on Jesus' death and resurrection. He longs for us to examine our lives, surrender our sin and recognize we NEED the Savior.

Luke 15:10 says there is great joy in heaven when we repent. By nature, we are rebellious toward God. But, His love and grace allow us to be forgiven. We love Him, because He first loved us. When we allow ourselves to be led by faith, God bandages our wounds. He heals our brokenness and allows us to see ourselves as He sees us; worthy of love, even though we are not deserving…

God rejoices when we respond to Him with repentance and love that bring Him glory. When we take time to consider what has been done for us, we realize Jesus deserves our love. We mustn’t turn from the One who took our pain. He is worthy of so much MORE...

God will open our eyes! He will show us amazing things to discover. His mercy is great and His love is eternal. He is mighty, awesome and good! We must honor the One who created us to experience the JOY of Jesus! He will show us how to remain faithful. And, He will help us remember that LOVE will bear ALL things.

Dear God, Thank you for moments to remember what Christ did for each one of us. We are grateful to have a Savior who loves us so much! As we anticipate the arrival of Easter, humble our hearts for the One who died in our place. Help us surrender our sin and understand the depth of Your mercy. We will honor You with our love and welcome the power of Your amazing grace, as we fix our eyes on Jesus. Amen
