He says, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be honored among the nations. I will be honored in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 NIRV
God patiently waits for us to seek Him in quiet moments to welcome needed peace. He helps us learn to be still so we will feel His tugging of our hearts and recognize the need for our Savior.
Jesus helps us feel the power of love. He demonstrates how much He
loves us. He shows how to silence distractions in the world. And in
quiet moments of purpose, He removes the worry of our wonder. He helps
us feel the guiding of the Father and sets the stage for good to come.
As we pray for peace, God provides the way to find it. He helps us examine our lives and surrender unwelcome fear. He renews our hearts and opens our eyes in the timing of His will. And He helps us remember we will never be without Him.
God will place joy in our hearts as we prepare to welcome the gifts of His greatness. He will reward us with the calming of His grace. We must learn to be patient, quiet and still. And we must always remember God takes care of those He loves.
“Do not be afraid of silence in your prayer time. It might be that you are meant to listen, not to speak.” God will find the way for us to be readied to receive. We must put our TRUST in Him, slow down and simply be still. He is GOD! He will help us understand when He has spoken. And we will be gratefully blessed.
Dear God, Thank you for Your presence in our lives. Forgive us when we allow distractions to lead us away from You. Humble our hearts, so we will be ready to receive Your gift to the world! We will wait to be led by the power of Your greatness. And we will learn how it feels to totally trust. Thank you, Lord. Thank you! Amen
