Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4: 16 NIV

Christ helps us feel the power of God’s MERCY and GRACE. He reminds us salvation is so much more than just the forgiving of sin. “MERCY is God not punishing us as our sins deserve, and GRACE is God blessing us despite the fact that we do not deserve it. MERCY is deliverance from judgment and GRACE is extending kindness to the unworthy.”

In the journey of life, we will fall short and make choices that are not good. We will sin and continue to not measure up. But Christ will help us seek forgiveness and recognize when we are weak. God’s mercy will convince us to overcome, even when it’s hard. And His amazing grace will bless us in ways we never imagined.

We are lucky to be blessed by what we don’t deserve. Jesus paid the price of our sin. The Bible says, ““forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.” (Philippians 3:13) When we become new in Christ, God restores us. He allows us to recognize His strength is made perfect in weakness. And He shows us how to get back on track.

We must approach the throne of God with confidence and open our hearts for what will be offered when we SEEK, SURRENDER and BELIEVE. God will provide mercy and grace. Even in our shortcomings, we will be able to understand what it means to humbly experience the love of a grateful heart.

Dear God, Thank you for mercy. Thank you for the gift of Your amazing grace. Thank you for restoring and helping us remember how very much we are loved by You. Forgive us when we struggle to do Your will. We will trust in the power of Your greatness and patiently wait to welcome ALL You provide. And we will prayerfully praise Jesus for helping us embrace the gift of a GRATEFUL heart. Thank you, Lord, Thank you! Amen
