Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin… Zechariah 4:10 NLT

“God does not despise small beginnings.” We were created for His great purpose. He knows how to prepare us be used for His glory. As we learn to trust in Him, He helps us remember it takes time to recognize the power of His plan. God reveals His will when He’s ready for us to remember who’s in charge of ALL things.

The last day of the year is a good time to reflect on the past and open our eyes for what’s to come. God helps us remember He is HERE. He speaks and readies us to hear. He longs for us to FOCUS on the power of His presence and recognize wisdom comes from His guiding.

The Bible says, “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.” Sometimes we become frustrated when things don’t go as planned. We forget God’s timing is not our own and need to be reminded why there is purpose in His plans.

God WILL GROW US! As we continue to respond, He will give us the desire to keep on going... When peace has had a chance to nurture our faith with patience, it won’t matter how long we have to wait. God will provide passion to persevere and remove the worry of our doubt. He will restore us as we continue to BELIEVE and TRUST.

Little things WILL make big things happen! We must FOCUS ON WHERE WE ARE NOW and pray to remember; even the smallest footsteps will lead us toward greater things, if we choose to keep on going and gratefully remember GOD IS WORKING IN US! We must try, try, try even when it’s hard. He will bless our efforts.

Dear God, thank you for the power of Your love. Thank you for working in us. As we prepare to say “goodbye” to the past, help us prepare for the future. Open our eyes so we will recognize where to find peace, hope, joy, love, trust and hope in what’s to come. We will patiently wait to witnesses the power of Your presence and choose to love you MORE! Thank you for ALL You provide. We will welcome another year of opportunity to witness the gifts of Your greatness and remember it takes time to be grown by You. Help us remember “little things will make big things happen“, if we take small steps and remain on the path that leads to YOU. Thank you, Lord. Thank you! Amen
