Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT

As hard as we try, we cannot possibly predict everything that will happen in our lives. We walk familiar paths of purpose and assume we will easily step ahead. But often we experience bumps in the road and have trouble moving along. We forget we don’t have to travel alone.

Trials in our lives can lead us far from finding calm. They present themselves in unpredictable situations. But God skillfully prepares us to cope with life's challenging moments. He strengthens our hearts and provides hope for what’s to come. He loves us into the arms of His presence and brings PEACE while we’re cradled in His care.

God uses detours to help us recognize when we need to change direction. When we’re open to the guiding of His will, He creates desire to follow Jesus and learn along the way. He readies us to handle what happens next and reminds us to not be afraid. He guides and provides opportunities for faith to grow. And He helps us persevere.

Christ fills us with longing to trust in Him. He is our reassuring guide who leads us in the right direction. It’s okay if we haven’t figured out how to get where we’re going. He will lead us toward the Father’s love. We must journey in His greatness and choose to hold on tight. God loves us enough to help us remember why we will never be without Him!

Dear God, thank you for leading us ALL the days of our lives. Forgive us when we try to travel alone. Help us remember YOU have the power to remove the worries of our wonder. Open our eyes, so we will see which way to go and find strength from a heart of trust. Thank you for the power of Your love. Thank you for your mercy and grace. We are humbled to remember why You will never leave us alone. And we are grateful for the promise of Your PEACE. Thank you, Lord! Thank you Amen
