Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT

God waits for us to acknowledge His presence in our lives. He gives us opportunities to choose whether or not we will submit to Him. The Creator of heaven and earth longs for us to seek Him and turn from our selfish ways. But many will choose not to acknowledge His authority. They will turn from the One who has the power to heal and restore our land.

God hears the prayers of our hearts when we humbly seek Him, recognize the error of our ways and understand what comes from surrender. He restores broken hearts and provides the way for us to learn about forgiveness. He answers our prayers and arms us with peace that passes all understanding and helps us examine our lives, so we will be more like Jesus; compassionate, loving toward one another and capable of honoring our Father by the way we live our lives.

We will all fall short of the glory of God and need to be reminded there is strength in the offering of His love. In devastating times of destruction, we will tire of the evil in this world. But God will STRENGTHEN us! He will remind us what must be done to bring hope in times of trouble. If we prayerfully seek the One who saves, live in His word and choose to honor Him, He will fulfill His promise to His people and we will learn to love Him even more…

Dear God, Thank you for Your presence in our lives. Forgive us when we forget to honor Your authority over heaven and earth. We will seek You with all of our hearts and humbly examine our lives. In moments to love You more, we will gratefully remember what needs to be done, so You will renew our hearts and heal our troubled nation. Thank you, Lord. Thank you for reminding us why our nation desperately needs YOU! Amen

`Happy Fourth of July! God bless you, family and friends! God bless America.
