“Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me." Psalm 103:1-2 NLT

 "God is great, God is good!” We remember the prayers of childhood and think about how often PRAISE was used to ready our hearts for thanks. God is deserving of gratitude EVERY time we pray. But sometimes we forget to simply thank Him and let Him know how special He is to us.  

God IS great! He longs for us to love Him so much more. When prayers begin with positive thoughts of good, He sets the stage for us to feel the presence of PEACE and think about how lucky we are to be valued and loved.  

Sometimes we become consumed by our own agendas. We don't devote ourselves in prayer and forget who’s in charge of All things. But God tugs at our souls to appreciate the gifts of His greatness. He fills us with His goodness and reminds us how it feels to embrace a grateful heart.  

Perhaps we need to come to the Father, like little children; trusting and beautifully ready to receive His greatness. God IS great! God IS good! No matter what we’re going through, we mustn’t forget He IS with us! He is deserving of our gratitude and most of all our love. 

Time spent with God will never be wasted. If we truly believe He is with us, every moment of closeness will guide us to a beautiful prayer of praise. It is the tool we need to strengthen our relationship with the One who created us to love Him with ALL of our hearts.  

God will be honored if we take time to consider our blessings and remember how much we are loved. We must devote ourselves to prayer and be watchful in thanks. (READ Colossians 4:2) God will fill us with content and remind us we are loved. He has opened our eyes to another day of life! Isn’t that reason enough to take time to pray, humble our hearts and let Him know we are GRATEFUL?  

Dear God, THANK YOU for loving us through every single moment. YOU help us remember there is ALWAYS a reason to pray. Open our hearts for the love of Your faithfulness. Bring us PEACE as we bow our heads and humbly seek YOU.  We will never forget there is STRENGTH in Your presence. Arm us with everything we need to love like little children and offer You the purest heart of our PRAISE.  You are great! You are so very, very good to us! Amen
