Christ shows how to experience the blessing of a grateful heart. He knows how to lead us to a prayer of praise. When we come before His presence of peace, He helps us recognize the need for God’s mercy. He meets us right where we are. He reminds us HOPE comes from holiness. And, as we learn to trust in the power of His love, He fills us with peace that passes all understanding. He helps us learn how it feels to trust.
Sometimes, it’s hard to feel grateful. Circumstances rob us of
remembering who plans our days. We become lost in the uncertainties of
life. But, Jesus guides us back where we belong. In tender moments of
truth, He pulls us to a place of calm. He helps us remember God is here
and provides the way to experience the wholeness of a grateful heart.
There is purpose in what God chooses for our days. He prepares us to receive His timely reward and blesses those who recognize His offering of love. When we are faced with difficulty, God shares His gifts of greatness. He reminds us; His strength is made perfect in weakness and provides the courage we need to carry on.
When God has filled us with His greatness, we will appreciate everything He has done. He will help us find strength in His holiness and fill us with the power of His love.
God created heaven, earth and EVERY living thing. Surely, He will create desire in us to recognize why we should be grateful. Let us praise Him for waking to another day of purpose and find reason in our hearts to love Him more…He IS a good, good Father! And, He loves us!
Dear God, Thank you for the power of Your love! You are mighty, holy and true. Help us understand how it feels to find strength in the presence of Your peace. Humble our hearts, so we will recognize who is deserving of our praise. And, help us remember why we should ALWAYS be very grateful for Your amazing grace! Amen
