The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14 NIV
God speaks when we take time to listen. He lovingly prepares us to come before His presence of peace. He helps us discover the depth of His holiness, when we humbly seek Him and wait to be held by His love.
Sometimes, we become too busy. We race ahead and try to handle life on
our own. We forget who’s in charge of our days and stress about things
which cause us to wonder. We forget to slow down and welcome the love of
our Savior. But, Jesus reminds us to be still. He fills us with PEACE
and renews our spirit of HOPE. He calms the heart of our wonder and
guides us where we learn to TRUST. He leads us to the Father and helps
us remember who will handle ALL things.
If we take time to receive the love of Jesus, we will recognize how it feels to be held. We will find STRENGTH in the arms of His faithfulness and COMFORT while we’re cradled in care. But, we must stop racing through our days! We must learn to slow down, seek Him with all of our hearts and patiently wait for distractions in our lives to diminish.
God will arm us with everything we need to step ahead. He will set the stage for what’s to come and show us how to remain faithful. He WILL fight for us. But, we must be willing to humble our hearts, wait on Him and trust He WILL handle ALL things.
Dear God, Thank you for moments to be drawn to Your presence of peace. Forgive us when we forget to seek You with all of our hearts and remember to be still. Arm us with everything we need to welcome Your STRENGTH, as we patiently wait on You. Amen
