Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90: 12 NIV

Life is short. Our days on earth are numbered and few. Sometimes, we forget to use our time wisely. We neglect to respond when God tries to reach us. We become too busy to ask for wisdom from the One who knows what happens next.
 

Wisdom is a gift for the heart. It allows us to put our thoughts in order and understand we ARE accountable to God. We should not wait to do what is needed TODAY. Tomorrow is not promised. But, the gift of salvation is, if we seek God's will and surrender, trust and obey. 

Psalm 39:4-5 reminds us; the span of our years is as nothing before God. We are all but a breath, even those who seem secure.  We will not live on earth forever. 

God loved us enough to send Jesus to the world; not to condemn, but to bring HOPE for eternal life. Our salvation is something we must treasure. If we pray for wisdom, God will help us examine our hearts and show us how to honor Him. He will grow us and allow us to do great things. 

God is worthy of our love. We must listen to His tugging of our hearts and obey. If we surrender sin, He will fill us with joy and provide purpose in the time we have to draw closer to Jesus. 

He is great and He is good! God will handle our days and ready us for what’s to come. He will bring peace to those who welcome the gift of a grateful heart.

Dear God, Thank you for opportunities to serve You. Thank you for moments to breathe in ALL You provide. Help us fix our eyes on You, so we will embrace a heart of wisdom and understand why we must NOT waste our time. Amen
