Often, we hold on to treasures that lose their value of purpose. Tattered and worn, they become hidden in dusty spaces of our lives. It’s hard to let go of things we don’t need. But we must get rid of junk and make room for what God wants to store in us.
True treasures of the heart are stored where they can easily be found.
They are precious gems that God allows us to receive. Life cannot
change them to become tattered and torn. The love of God’s faithfulness
is meant to be kept forever…
Age allows us to discover the natural progression of our lives. We see the effects of physical change. Sometimes, it’s hard to notice. But, God wants us to remember what is created on the inside is the most valuable to Him. He helps us see ourselves as He sees us; fearfully and wonderfully made!
God will guide us where we begin to recognize His presence in our lives. He will fill us with treasures of purpose and show us how to store them in our hearts. He will pull us from the dusty spaces of doubt, and allow us to understand we are special to Him.
Time WILL change us. Our physical appearance will change. But, God will show us how to remain faithful. And, He will help us embrace a heart of content as we age. He will transform us. He will help us see what He sees in us. And, He will show us why we are worthy of His everlasting love.
Dear God, Thank you for moments to see what You see in us. Help us find joy in what You have created. We will love You with all of our hearts and gratefully trust in the timing of Your will. And, when our bodies have aged with imperfections, we will embrace the gift of our years. We will open our eyes and see beauty in what You have created. And, we will choose to gratefully love You more… Amen
