“Run in such a way that you may obtain the prize. “ 1 Corinthians 9:24

We never hear “ready, set, WAIT”, when we’re starting a race. But, sometimes Jesus calls us to WAIT on Him before He moves us along. He prepares us to know when it’s time to be guided by greatness and He takes time to ready us to run.
He helps us recognize there will be bumps in the road and provides clarity when we need to know which direction to go. 

Obstacles will slow us down, when we run races in our lives. But, God will give us strength to keep going. He will show how far we have come and set the stage for good to prevail. He will remind us to WAIT in the timing of His will, so we will learn how it feels to be patient. 

God holds the crown that will last forever. He waits for us to receive His eternal reward. If we seek Him with all of our hearts and choose to remain faithful, He will provide strength to endure. He will help us run in a way that leads us toward the prize. And, He will help us remember why the journey will be so much better, if we allow Him to tell us when it’s time to run.

Dear God, Sometimes it’s hard for us to see what’s ahead. But, YOU hold the prize that motivates us to run. When obstacles stand in the way, help us remember to trust in You, so our hearts will be readied for Your greatness. We will keep our eyes focused on Jesus, so we will be able to recognize when it’s time to keep on going…Amen.
