For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

God leads us from the past and prepares us for the future. He covers us in strength for TODAY and reminds us to trust in what He provides. Sometimes, we spend too much time looking back. We focus on what has already happened in our lives and miss special moments to feel the power of God’s guiding.

When we are turned around, it’s hard to see what God is laying before us. We become filled with doubt and question our ability to move along. But, God finds the way to remind us to look ahead and keep on going. He provides what we need to head in the right direction. He readies us to rise in the goodness of His grace and lifts us where we see glimpses of what’s ahead.

God IS working for the good! He asks us to be patient while He handles our days and teaches how to persevere. Patience will help us experience how God transforms us. We will become aware of His mighty presence in our lives and understand He is the ONE who provides HOPE for the future.

We must pay attention to what is happening. Are we looking ahead or spending too much time looking back? God is in charge of showing us what He wants us to see…He will reveal His will when the timing is right and we have learned to be faithful. We must open our eyes, trust in Him and patiently wait to be readied to go. And, we must “never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” He will take care of everything we need and arm us with the power of His love. He will show us how it feels to be forever grateful.

Dear God, Your precious presence prepares us to TRUST. Help us stop looking back, so we will fix our eyes on YOU and focus on what's happening right now. Help us experience the power of Your greatness, so we will be transformed. Show us how to rid ourselves of doubt and give us strength to keep on going…You are mighty, holy and worthy of our love. Thank you for having a plan for our days. We will open our eyes and faithfully focus on YOU. And, we will find purpose to be used for Your glory. Amen
