So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 NIV

Before God brings us back where we belong, He extends His arms of strength and reaches out to touch us. He helps us experience the presence of peace and find rest in the arms of Jesus. He wants us to see how faith will once again connect us with His love. But sometimes we step away and forget to lift our eyes to the One who saves.

Jesus came to demonstrate God’s love. Sometimes, we forget WHY we need Him. He came to do the will of the Father and reach each one of us. He was sent to preach good news about the kingdom and lead us from the darkness. He came because God sent Him to seek and save the weary and the lost.

Sometimes, we become lost and turned around in our own circumstances. But Jesus is the Good Shepherd who watches over His sheep. He knows us by name and gently pulls us back where we belong. He cradles us in care and reminds us how it feels to be humbled. He lifts us where we see glimpses of what’s ahead and He provides what we need to overcome our weakness.

When God tugs at our hearts and lovingly extends His arms of strength, we mustn’t make Him reach SO far! If we humble our hearts and seek Him, He will shape our lives in the timing of His will. He will fill us FULL of everything we need to find STRENGTH in the presence of His love.

We must allow ourselves to be led back where we belong. God will help us find rest and He will renew us! We must TRUST and BELIEVE. He really WILL complete His good work in our lives.

Dear God, We are calmed, as we gratefully consider the love of our Good Shepherd. Humble our hearts to recognize HE is the way the truth and the life. We will lift our hands to the One who saves and find PEACE in the arms of Your everlasting love. And, we will find HOPE to remember why peace WILL ALWAYS come, if we examine our hearts and realize WHY we need to be rescued. Amen
