He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.1 Peter 2:24 NLT

As we consider the events which led to the crucifixion of Jesus, we begin to realize the love God has for each one of us. We understand Christ carried  more than the weight of the cross as He stepped with strength from the Father.

He stumbled and fell as He carried the weight of the world and bled from the anguish of pain. As we think about the events which led to His final breath, we look to the cross with gratitude and love. We begin to understand God knows ALL suffering.

In moments of conflict, often we feel God doesn’t hear our cries or know the heart of despair. But He knows our every thought. He covers us with mercy and grace. And as we allow Him to guide us toward perfect peace, we begin to see how it feels to be welcomed by the One who came to save.

The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 NIV

Jesus didn’t stay on the cross. He died and rose again! Through His death, burial and resurrection, He paid the price for our sins. Eternal life is granted for those who know Him as Lord of their lives and choose to believe in Him. HE is the way, the truth and the life!

Salvation waits at the cross that was held by the arms of Jesus. Because of God’s great love, we can find comfort to know HE is with us! We must trust in Him and remain faithful. He will help us keep on going, even when it’s hard. Our Savior will help us cope as we put our HOPE in Him.

God’s will was fulfilled! We can thank Him by honoring Him with our love! The hands that were hammered with pain will carry our burdens. We must make room for Jesus. He will humble our hearts and help us remember why everything will be OKAY.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for Jesus. We reflect on the suffering of your Son who He died and rose again. Fill us with desire to meet You at the cross, so we will find peace and discover how it feels to be held by Your strength. Thank you for the blessing of Your love. Humble our hearts to recognize the gift of your salvation and help us remember to always trust in You. Amen
