“I have written to you who are young in the faith because you are strong. God’s word lives in your hearts, and you have won your battle with the evil one. Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.” 1 John 2:14b-15 NLT

Satan tries to convince us to believe his ugly schemes to attack our hearts. The closer we walk with Jesus; the devil tries harder to make us believe ugly lies. He tries to stop us from being faithful to the One who helps us stay focused in TRUTH.

As we walk in the fullness of God, the enemy tries to do everything he can to trick us. He waits for us to miss a step and head in the wrong direction. But our loving Savior knows how to lift us back where we belong. He gives us strength to remain faithful and recognize foolish lies.

Prayer helps us stay focused as we ask in Jesus’ name for Satan to “get behind us”. Everything GOOD comes from the Father. We can trust we will be blessed by the power of His love. The world will never fulfill the longing of our hearts. But God knows just what we need.

The Bible says, “For everything in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — comes not from the Father but from the world” (1 John 2:16). Don’t be misled! Stay grounded in the WORD and patient in prayer. GOD will provide STRENGTH to endure. He will restore our hearts when we need to be reminded, JESUS is the way, the TRUTH and the LIFE. He will ALWAYS take care of us.

Dear God, thank you for the love of Your faithfulness. Forgive us when we forget how-to walk-in TRUTH. Fill us with the power of Your love as we continue to follow Jesus and refuse the devil’s lies. Humble our hearts to walk alert with grateful thoughts of YOU. We will remember who’s in charge of our days and choose to walk in the right direction. Thank you for mercy, grace and the love You have for us. You bring fulness to our lives! Thank you for everything GOOD that comes from YOU. We will LOVE you all of our lives and walk on the path that leads toward wholeness. Thank you, Lord. Amen
