And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God. Hebrews 13:16 NLT
God uses us in mighty ways to reach those He loves. He longs for us to honor Him by our actions. He grows desire to recognize the needs of others and do what needs to be done to serve Him with all of our hearts.
Sometimes, we forget to open our eyes and focus on those who need to know the LOVE of Christ. We neglect to share the Good News and allow His light to shine. We become consumed by our own agendas and need to be reminded what happens when we share our faith.
Serving others IS serving God. As we develop a willingness to be more like Christ, we begin to clearly see life is so much better when we do what it takes to LOVE one another.
God knows what He’s doing to fuel our souls with gladness and take away our need to have control. He quiets weary thoughts and fuels our souls with everything we need to hold humility. He helps us find PEACE as we’re used for His great purpose to honor Him by the way we live our lives.
As we pray and believe, seek and receive, God will show us amazing things as we TRUST in Him, surrender doubt and allow ourselves to be a blessing to others. There will always work to be done to further God’s kingdom and shine the light of Christ.
The Bible says, “And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up.” Galatians 6:9 TLB Many will be rewarded when we share with those in need and we will be gratefully blessed.
Dear God, thank you for the power of Your love. It reaches us in beautiful ways. Help us develop a willingness to serve YOU with all of our hearts and LOVE YOU all of our days. You provide purpose to grow in the gifts of Your greatness. May we never tire of shining the light of Jesus and helping others discover they are valued and loved. Thank you for JOY that comes from serving YOU with eyes wide open and an awareness of HOW we must LOVE one another. Amen
