The Night Light of His Love

sunsets at the beach Pictures, Images and Photos

I enjoy spending time with family when we go to the beach. We love to watch the sunset, as we gather together and quietly reflect on the beauty of God‘s mighty creation. As the sun slowly sinks to the horizon, it colors the sky with one last glow of orange. Then, it gently slips away and sets the stage for what is to follow.

We don’t always recognize why the sun must lay in the place where God has chosen for it to rest. In moments of darkened sadness, we often need reminders to dig our feet in the sand and faithfully become aware of opportunities we don't want to miss.

God allows us to see what will happen next, when we take time for Him to show us. He places the stars in the sky, and allows the moon to cover the earth with the night light of His love. He gives us the ability to understand we have been blessed. And, He shows us He is in charge of all things, as we discover His great purpose for our lives.

We must watch closely as the sun retires for the day. If we turn our eyes away, surely we will miss the glorious gift of its glow, and become disappointed when we cannot see what God has placed for us to enjoy.

God is our Creator . As you take time to open your eyes to His will, remember He has a purpose for everything He has created. He lovingly lowers the sun to rest, and gently covers us in His love when it’s time for us to find rest in Him. As you take time to quietly reflect on all God provides,  remember He is in control and He loves you.

Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails Proverbs 19:21

God is near,

Nan

Most of us think it is over when the sun has set. Thank you for reminding us that God has more to come in our lives. I will think about this after the next sunset.

God bless you with joy today!

  2. Yes, how true...That is exactly what I was thinking when God gave me this message to share. There's much more to come on the horizon. God provides for us and leads us in His will, but we must remember to trust. Thank you for visiting here and reading the devotion. May God bless you with a day that makes you smile.
