“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

As the New Year approaches, we often look at scribbled notes on the calendars of our past. It’s rewarding to remember happy days which brought calm and content. Fond memories bring joy to our hearts. But, it’s hard to recall days which were painful. And, it’s hard to comprehend why we’ve faced difficult days of doubt. But, God reminds us who is in charge of ALL things. And, He helps us remember why we have never been alone.

God equips us to handle life events and prepares us for what’s to come. The Bible says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. “Isaiah 43:18 NIV He motivates us to move ahead and readies us to remember His strength is made perfect in our weakness. God provides the way for us to accept His will and find purpose in what He creates. 

Months will pass quickly. God will provide for us in the New Year ahead. He will lift us to His loving arms of strength and carry us EVERY day of our lives. We must remember to TRUST in Him and never forget He has plans for our days. 

Dear God, as we consider the events of the past, help us remember how we were guided by You. Thank you for handling our days. We will find peace in the promise of Your presence and never doubt You have a plan for our lives. We will gratefully embrace what’s to come while we faithfully TRUST in YOU. Amen
