However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 1 Peter 4: 16 NIV

Life passes quickly and moves us through many ups and downs. It causes wounds of worry to fester in the heart of our weakness, or rewards us with the calm of a faithful heart.

The Bible says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 This does not mean we have to say,“Thank you God”, when tragedy strikes and bad things happen. It means we are to REMAIN joyful and hopeful in knowing God is handling ALL things.

Our expression of praise is important as we walk with Jesus and learn to remember who’s in charge of our days. It sets the stage for faith to grow and nurtures our trust in God’s plan for our lives.

When our eyes are opened to provisions past the pain, God helps us clearly see what waits to be discovered. He blesses us in ways we never could have imagined and allows the strength of His holiness to fill us with the power of His love.

NOTHING will happen that God cannot handle. He WILL do great things. But, we must trust in His power to know what’s best for our lives and have courage to recognize when we’re weak.

Jesus will hold us. He will lift us high so we will see glimpses of what’s ahead and find calm in the presence of the Father. We must not doubt God will take care of us. He will handle the happenings of our days and we will gratefully understand what it means to be faithful.

Dear God, Thank you for waking us in praise. We will trust You all the days of our lives and give thanks for what You provide. Help us persevere and remain faithful in the up, down and in-between moments of our days. We will love You with all of our hearts and remember why YOU are worthy of our thanks. Amen
