And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

Christ longs for us to receive Him. But, sometimes we allow thoughts of worry to rob us of calm. We wake to hurried moments in our lives and forget how it feels to welcome peace. We rise without the strength of the Savior and wonder why we struggle in our days. And, we need to be reminded; Jesus is with us. He wants us to discover the power of His love and learn how it feels to trust.

Sometimes, we try to move ahead on our own and worry when things don’t happen as planned. But, Christ leads us back to the Father. The gentle Shepherd cares for His flock. And, when we are lost in struggles of doubt, He pulls us back where we belong and demonstrates the love of His faithfulness.

While we are carried in strength, we recognize who is working in our lives. God shows the power of mercy and covers us with grace. And, while we are held in a place of calm, He humbles the heart of our need. He nurtures a prayer of praise when we have recognized the need for His love.

The Bible says, “And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans. Romans 8:28 TLB

God IS with us! Regardless of the circumstances we face, He will arm us with EVERYTHING we need to face the day. He will set the stage for what’s to come and honor the love of our faithfulness. He will fill us with peace and help us remember why we should always be thankful.

Dear God, Thank you for moments to be reminded who is working in our days. Forgive us when we forget who handles our lives. Humble us and help us find strength, as we honor You with praise and begin our prayers with a grateful heart of thanks. Amen
