“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34: 18

God helps us discover peace, when take time to pray. He readies us to feel His presence in our lives and shows us how to find STRENGTH.  He sets the stage for what’s to come and manages our thoughts when we’re able to recognize the mighty power of His love.

God loves us! He wants us to know how it feels to be managed by MERCY and guided by GRACE. But, sometimes we lose our strength. We become weary and broken. Tragedy disrupts our way of thinking and we question why there's suffering in the world.

The events of 9 11 continue to haunt us. We remember the horrors of that day. It overwhelms us to consider how many lost their lives in senseless acts of destruction. But, as we reflect on one of saddest days in America, we mustn't forget; God does NOT create evil.

“There is potential for evil to enter the world, but there is also potential for goodness and love. Suffering is NOT good, but God can use it to accomplish good.” He took the death of Jesus on the cross and turned it into something good. “He opened the heavens to all who follow Him.”

Jesus said that there WILL be suffering in the world. He did not say there “may” be. But, the day is coming when suffering will stop and God will judge all evil. He promises He will compensate us with eternal reward. “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4: 7

We must TRUST God in ALL things… He will give PEACE  and COURAGE to endure. He will provide the strength we need and guide us closer to the Savior.  We can find comfort in His words…These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”  John 16: 33

Dear God, Our hearts are saddened to remember September 11. Please be with the families who lost loved ones on that day. And, comfort those who continue to suffer. We will seek You with ALL of our hearts and earnestly pray that You will reveal what needs to be done in order to save our nation.  Amen
