Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3: 5 NIV

Hope came to heal when Jesus was sent by God to save. Christmas can be hard for those who experience difficulties. But, God knows the need of those who need strength. When we desperately long to be held, Jesus cradles us in care and helps us remember we're not alone. He fills us with perfect peace and shows us how to find Christmas calm.

As we prepare to welcome Christmas, we ready our hearts to welcome Christ. In moments of reflection, we consider the young woman who carried Jesus and trusted God’s will for her life. TRUST! Oh, how we too need to TRUST in God and understand He has plans for our days. He longs for us to experience how it feels to have a living relationship and know where to find courage and strength.

Christmas is so much more than one day to open gifts and stuff ourselves full of food. It is a precious opportunity to experience Jesus and welcome the love of God. The One delivered in a stable not fit for a King, knows our suffering. The One who bled and died on the cross, knows our pain. And, the One who came to save us provides life forever; because of His sacrifice for every one of us.

We must dig down deep and humble our hearts, as we welcome Christmas and pray for God to show us how to discover joy. God will do great things! His strength is made perfect in weakness. Let us come and worship the One who will lead us to the Father and help us never forget where to find what we need, at Christmas and EVERY single day of our lives.

God is here! He loves us! How will you receive His precious Son?

Dear God, In humbled moments of truth, we seek You with all of our hearts and pray for one another. We pray for peace to reach the brokenhearted and Christmas calm to fill us with the gift of Your mercy and grace. Help us gratefully anticipate the welcoming of Christmas and show us how we should receive Your love. Fill us with the power of Your strength and guide us EVERY day of our lives. We will make room for Jesus and never forget why we must TRUST YOU in EVERY circumstances. Amen
