Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act. Psalm 37:7a

When rain falls, God showers the earth. He nurtures what needs to be grown and saturates hardened crevasses of the ground. He places HOPE in what will be discovered and reminds us why we must faithfully trust in Him. 

Sometimes, we become impatient as we wait for the rain to stop. We long to feel warmed by the sun. But, God provides strength to manage our weathered doubt. He shows how to persevere and reminds us to wait in the timing of His love. He helps us remember weather will change, but He will not.

God cultivates a trusting heart in His time and for a great purpose. He has a plan for our days. He answers when we seek Him. He guides us in His word (Bible) and demonstrates the power of His everlasting love. 

The Maker of every living thing allows us to receive what He provides. And, if we humble our hearts, He allows us to recognize who’s in charge of ALL things. God helps us remember sunny days WILL return. But, we must patiently TRUST and learn to faithfully wait on Him. 

Dear God, Thank you for waking us to another day. Rain or shine, help us feel the light of Your unchanging love. We will put our hope in You, as we’re led through weathered days of doubt. And, we will find strength to be reminded this is the day You have made! We will rejoice and be gratefully glad! Amen
