Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalm 51: 12 NIV

Sometimes, we forget to welcome Jesus with a heart of praise. We forget He is the way to the Father. He longs to have a relationship with us and hear the hallelujahs of our hearts. But, sometimes we become too busy to prayerfully praise the One who died in our place.

Jesus suffered a horrible death. But, the story doesn’t end there. His journey to Jerusalem is our journey! When we humble our hearts for Him and truly think about what has been done for each one of us, we begin to understand the power of God's amazing grace. And, we recognize why He deserves so much more…

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. (John 15: 13 NIV) As we take time to consider the joy of our salvation and reflect on the cross, Jesus draws us closer. And, when we honor Him with our love, He nurtures a willing spirit to sustain us.

God will open our eyes in truth. He will help us gratefully welcome what has been promised. He will restore the joy of our salvation and lead us to a prayer of praise. We will feel the depth of His love and welcome the gift of His greatness when we have learned to embrace the blessing of a grateful heart.

Dear God, Thanking for waking us, so we can praise You with the hallelujahs of our hearts. We will visit the cross as we journey together. Help us remember why Jesus laid down His life for each one of us. We will welcome Him with a grateful heart and never forget what was accomplished by the power of Your amazing love. Amen
