Good morning, friends! It’s time for my visit with family. Our Dad and Daughter Week is an annual tradition that we love. It’s a perfect way to remember our mother and enjoy the time we have together.

I’ve always enjoyed early morning writing on the beach. Words come quickly when God speaks through the sound of the waves and opens my eyes in awe. It’s easy to feel moved by the power of His creation. But this year, I’ve decided to take a break from writing and enjoy simple "thankful moments" with those I love.

I want to look for dolphins and soak in everything we see in our morning time together. I want to hear my father’s voice, as he shares stories of the past. I want to examine lines of aging that create the sweetness of his smile. I want to hear the joy of his laughter. And, I want to focus on why we choose to gather year after year…

There’s something special about spending time with those we love. I’m so grateful for sisters and moments to reflect on the past. As we continue to age, it becomes clearer; we must treasure the time God gives us to be together. And, we must take time to appreciate the blessing of a grateful heart.

I will be taking a break from posting, but will continue to provide messages again on Tuesday. August 8. While I’m away, I will be praying for YOU. And, I hope you will pray for me and my family to have safe travels. You are welcome to post comments/prayer requests and anything you'd like on this page. I will be checking in from time to time.

God bless each and every one of you. He is near. He is here and He loves us! ~ Nan
