Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. Isaiah 46: 4 NIV

God never stops caring for His children. Those He created are precious to Him. Sometimes, we forget the Father of mercy and grace is closer than we think. We forget who gives strength to sustain. God allows us to discover the love of Jesus and have a living relationship with Him. The One who knows what we need is ready to provide reassurance in our lives. He is ready to help us remember when we trust in Him, we WILL be okay…

With arms open wide, Jesus tries to reach us. He stretches as far as He can and longs for us to extend ourselves to Him. He opens the eyes of our hearts, so we will recognize why we need Him. And, He reminds us why we must hold on tight.

When we’re connected to the One who saves, we begin to understand the power of His strength. He cradles us in care and helps us discover His holiness. And, when we stop making Him reach so far, we feel His presence of His peace and find comfort in the love that holds us.

Why do we make Jesus reach so far, when He wants to fill us with the goodness of His love? Why do we waste time trying to convince ourselves we can make it on our own? Anxious thoughts of wonder create unwanted fear when we don’t allow Christ to guide us. The Bible says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4: 6-7

God opens our hearts for Jesus and helps us remember there IS power in the mention of His name. When we seek Him with all of our hearts and pray for the comfort of love, surely He will hear us! He will pull us from the wonder of our doubt and lift us where HOPE is found in the shelter of His strength. He will allow us to see glimpses of what’s to come and lead us to the Father with His love.

God loves us. He will sustain us! He will make sure we are carried EVERY day of our lives. He will rescue us and give us strength. But we must be ready to welcome the love of Christ. We must make ourselves available to be held and we must be ready to ALWAYS hold on tight.

Dear God, Thank you for opening our eyes to another day of life. Thank you for Jesus. Forgive us when we try to handle life on our own. Open our hearts in the timing of Your will and help us remember to TRUST in You. We will lift our hands to the One who saves and humble our hearts for Christ. And, we will remember how much we are loved, when He reminds us we WILL be okay. Amen
