We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. Psalm 33:20-22 NLT

Walls provide shelter and protect us. They are constructed to provide strength and define a place of purpose. When walls are built, we often feel protected from the world and cradled by the cocoons we create.

It can be comforting to live inside walls that we build, but often we’re not content in our surroundings. We hide behind doors of doubt and allow fear to dwell. We build barriers that will never welcome peace or provide what God wants for our lives.

He knows what’s hidden in the layers of us; insecurity, fear, lack of faith and trust. God longs for us to surrender what holds us back from finding PEACE in Jesus. He lifts the shades of darkness and allows us to see glimpses of what is good. He lovingly leads us toward His light.

God finds the way to humble us in truth. He allows us to see what's been hiding inside. And when we prayerfully ask Him to tear down walls, He removes what holds us back, piece by piece. He shows how to make room for Jesus and discover why we need Him in our lives.

We mustn’t be ashamed to admit when we’re anxious and weak. Christ knows what causes fear. He suffered more than we will ever know. He will take our burdens and show us the barriers we've built. He will help us understand why they must come down!

Heart walls will separate us from the love we deserve. They will hold us where we will never find peace and joy. But God WILL tear down walls if we surrender our fear, seek Him and faithfully BELIEVE.

As we find strength, He will show us how it feels to be held by everything we need. God will help us see what’s been missing. He will give purpose to our days. We must never be afraid to TRUST the One who has a perfect plan for our lives.

Lord, Thank you for loving us in weakness. Tear down the walls that separate us from the power of Your love. Help us examine our lives, so we will see what’s missing and understand how to welcome perfect PEACE. Thank you for all You provide in the presence of Your greatness. Help us find strength in You, as You piece together everything good and build us up with mercy and love. Thank you for Your amazing grace! Thank you, Lord! Thank you! Amen
