For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 NIV

When God fills us with purpose, He allows us to recognize strength comes from the power of His love. He prepares us for His will and arms us with EVERYTHING we need to embrace what He chooses for our lives.

Sometimes, anxiety consumes us. We store it deep where peace is meant to dwell. And we hide behind the “I am fine.” Fear clouds the goodness in our lives and makes us believe we will never experience joy. It smothers us in lies and wants us to believe we won't find perfect peace.

“Fear is a liar!” It tries to convince us we will never be more than weak. It steals joy and makes us believe we can handle life on our own. It binds us with chains of worry and doesn't allow us to see how it feels to be faithful and free…

God is so much bigger than our fear! He knows how to take our burdens and humble our hearts for Jesus. In quiet moments of release, He helps us remember we were made for so much more. And when we choose to prayerfully witness His power of strength, He helps us overcome. He pulls us from ditches of doubt and arms us with everything we need to battle anxious thoughts. He provides clarity when we let go and let Him show us how to stand and face our fears.

He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. Psalm 40:2 NIV

Life is hard, but we don’t have to handle it on our own. God is great! He leads us on a path of purpose and prepares us to grow in His greatness. He plans what's best for our lives and lays a path for us to follow. He gives us the tools we need to find courage and confidence in who we will become...

God will pour strength in our hearts. He will provide the way for us to grow in His grace. He will change our lives for the better and help us recognize the power of His love. When the timing is right, we will feel the depth of His holiness and boldly serve Him with strength in our hearts. God will do GREAT things! We must trust in Him and never doubt His ability to grow us.

Dear God, Thank you for loving us through our weakness. Open the eyes of our hearts, so we will see what is missing and choose to refuse anxiety and fear. Forgive us when we’re timid and weak. Fill us with Your presence of peace and help us witness amazing grace as we learn to overcome. We will trust in You and welcome the changes YOU make in our lives. And we will embrace Your abundant joy, when we choose to surrender to You. Thank you, Lord. Amen
