“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16: 33 NIV

Peace comes from our communion with God through Jesus. We were never promised we would be without trouble in the world. But, God brings peace through the One who conquered death. He knows the heart of our need and He knows how to help us experience the power of His everlasting love.

Our help comes from the Lord. When we’re sad and shaken to the core, He hears our cries for PEACE. He sees each tear that falls and finds the way to calm us. He helps us understand why we don’t have to handle life on our own and shows why we can never find perfect PEACE without Him.

As we fix our eyes on Jesus and believe in His power to save, He strengthens us! He helps us clearly see why we cannot manage life on our own. And, in moments to handle the heart of our need, He calms us. He shows us how to find STRENGTH and covers us in the comfort of His care.

We will never find peace in what the world has to offer. But, if we open our hearts, surrender our burdens and TRUST in Him, Jesus will provide HOPE to endure. In the midst of whatever we go through, He will provide PEACE to help us remember better days WILL come.

Victory in Jesus has already been accomplished. He has overcome! He died and rose again for EACH and EVERY one of us. He WILL bring peace to our hearts when we put our trust in Him. And, if we allow ourselves to be lifted from the worries of the world, He will hold us for a while. Then, when we have been filled by mercy and grace, He will set our feet on solid ground and show us how to walk in PEACE.

Dear God, Thank you for Your everlasting love. Thank you for PEACE that passes all understanding and HOPE that is found in You. We will open our hearts and seek the love of our Savior. And, when we have been calmed by Your greatness, we will begin this day in prayers of praise and remember how very lucky we are to be loved by YOU. Amen
