Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 MSG

Christ helps us experience the blessing of a grateful heart. He knows how to lead us to a prayer of praise. He helps us recognize the need for mercy and grace. And He meets us right where we are.

As we learn to trust in the power of love, He fills us with peace that passes all understanding. He helps us learn how it feels to have a relationship with Him. He helps us remember strength comes from faith in the One who handles our days.

God wants us to feel thankful, but sometime circumstances rob our joy. We face uncertainties in life and get lost in frustration and doubt. But, Jesus leads us back where we belong. In tender moments of truth, He lifts us to a place of calm. He helps us remember God is here and replaces groans with the wholeness of a grateful heart.

There is purpose in what God chooses for our days. He readies us for timely rewards and blesses those who recognize His offering of love. When we are faced with difficulties, God shares the gifts of His greatness. He reminds us why His strength is made perfect in weakness. He provides courage to carry on…

When God fills us with strength, we find HOPE in His holiness and fullness in the power of His love. We begin to appreciate everything He has done. And we learn how it feels to faithfully put our trust in Him...

God created heaven, earth and EVERY living thing. Surely, He will create desire in us to recognize why we should be grateful. Let us praise Him for waking to another day of life and find reason in our hearts to love Him even more…He IS our amazing Father and He loves us!

Dear God, Thank you for the power of Your greatness! You are mighty, holy and true. Forgive us when the groans of our hearts are louder than the prayers of our praise. Help us understand how it feels to find peace in the presence of Jesus. Humble our hearts, so we will recognize who is deserving of our thanks... And help us remember why we should ALWAYS be grateful for Your everlasting love. Amen
