“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? Luke 15: 4

Christ is waiting and available when we call. And when we ready our hearts to welcome the presence of peace, He helps us understand the love of our Father. He opens the door for HOPE to arrive and sets the stage to welcome the power of HIS mighty love.

Jesus came to demonstrate God’s love. Sometimes we forget why we need Him. He came to do the will of the Father and reach EVERY one of us. He was sent to preach the good news about the kingdom and lead us from darkness. He came because God sent Him to seek and save the weary and lost.

He is the Good Shepherd! Jesus watches over His sheep. He knows us by name and gently pulls us back where we belong. He cradles us in care and reminds us how it feels to be humbled. He lifts us where we see what’s to come and gives us the ability to overcome weakness. He is the loving Protector whose purpose is to lead us from sin and give us eternal life. He is the way to the Father.

Jesus offers grace we don’t deserve. We become distracted by the world. We give Him only a portion of love and forget He’s deserving of so much more! We sin and find ourselves lost. Weakness and doubt steal our desire to be rescued and we forget to love Him with ALL OF OUR HEARTS.

Jesus wants us to remember He is the Good Shepherd. We are WORTHY of being loved by Him. He will help us embrace an attitude of praise. He is the way, the truth and the life. He will lead us to the Father as we seek Him, surrender our selfish ways and know Him as Lord of our lives. He will lift us with arms of strength and lead us back where we belong. He will bring peace to our souls and joy in His presence if we call on Him and allow ourselves to be saved.

Dear God, we are calmed to gratefully consider the love of our Good Shepherd. Humble our hearts to recognize HE is the way, the truth and the life. We will lift our hands to the One who saves and find strength in the arms of His love. We will find HOPE to remember; peace WILL come, if we examine our hearts and understand why we need to be rescued. Thank you, Lord. Thank you for Your abundant love that covers us with everything we need. Amen
