“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29: 11 NIV

As we prepare to throw away old calendars, often we flip through last year’s pages of our lives. We remember special moments and enjoy memories of the past. But there are notations of days that were difficult, challenging and sad. We recall how they disrupted our wholeness.

God readies us to move ahead and embrace the newness of what’s to come. He provides opportunities to witness the power of His strength. When days of struggle cause us to doubt, He helps us recognize we ARE stronger than we think. He guides us through difficult days of wonder.

God cradles us in care and holds us in weakness. He reminds us we will never be without His mercy and love. He covers us with grace. And when we experience hardship, He helps us understand how to faithfully TRUST.

God WILL prepare us to handle what’s to come. He WILL guide and provide as we open our eyes. If we wake in worry of what will happen next, God will know how to handle it. He will remind us who’s in charge and help us experience the strength of His presence EVERY day of our lives.

We mustn't waste time dwelling on the past. The Bible says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. “Isaiah 43:18 NIV God has a plan! He doesn’t want to harm us. He WILL provide HOPE for the future and help us find PEACE in the prayers of our PRAISE.

Days and months will pass quickly. There will be seasons of joy and sadness. Our lives will change, but God will NOT! He will bless us in His timing. When the moment is right, He will reveal His will and we will recognize the power of His plan. We must “never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God”! Our Creator knows the desires of our hearts. He will provide HOPE as we embrace the new year ahead. He knows what will happen next. He will lead us through everything in our lives and reward the heart of our faithfulness.

Dear God, thank you for waking us with the power of Your love. Forgive us when we allow the worry of wonder to rob us of PEACE You provide. We will find STRENGTH for days that are difficult and open our eyes to witness what is good. Thank you for guiding and providing. We will TRUST in the timing of Your will and be grateful for Your presence in 2020. Thank you, Lord! We will embrace the opportunities You give us and gratefully remember You really DO have a plan for our lives. Thank you, Lord. Thank you! Amen

~ Family and friends, I look forward to sharing my devotions in 2020 and pray God will bless you with strength, peace, joy, hope, good health and a spirit to want to love Him MORE. He is HERE and HE LOVES US. Happy New Year! ♥ Nan
