He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10

God has the ability to see inside our hearts. He knows when we feel weak. He watches how we handle the frailties of life and knows how to give needed strength. He helps us understand when it’s time to stop and rest. And as we respond to His nudging, He moves us closer to Jesus.

Christ humbles our hearts to welcome the presence of peace. Scripture reminds us who carries the load. Matthew 11:28-30 says, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” What reassuring words to remember!

When we walk side by side with Jesus, He helps to carry our burdens! He knows what is stacked in one place. He sees what's needed to find relief and covers the wounds of our pain. He helps us find rest in Him. And as we sit for a while, we begin to feel the calm of His peace. He reminds us we are never alone.

Jesus carried the cross. He knows what we carry in our hearts. He demonstrated the love of His faithfulness when He hung on the cross for each one of us! As we consider the joy of His resurrection, we begin to recognize the power of God’s holiness and understand where HOPE is found.

If we make time for Jesus, He will ready us to rise. And if we choose to walk with Him, He will carry what needs to be shared. There will never be a day without His presence. He will help with what we need. Christ will love us through weakness and fill us with everything we need to remember; God will never stop working for the good. This is what will give us strength to remain faithful.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight Proverbs 3: 5 NIV

Dear God, thank you for Your mighty presence! As we open our hearts for Your will, silence our distractions as we lean on Jesus. Thank you for peace that passes all understanding. Help us not forget, YOU are the ONE who plans our days. Thank you, Lord! Thank you for mercy and love. Lead us where we will experience the calm of perfect peace, as we honor You with our praise. And help us find strength to always remember how very much we are loved. Amen
