I will give thanks to you with all my heart, O Lord my God. I will honor you forever because your mercy toward me is great. Psalm 86: 12-13

Often, we rush through weeks of autumn without taking time to embrace a grateful heart. We move quickly through November and focus only on Christmas. We forget Thanksgiving is so much more than a scheduled day to feast and need to be reminded GRATITUDE is the foundation of worship to God.

Thanksgiving may look different this year. Some may not be able to gather with those they love. The pandemic has challenged us to make changes. But as we step on path’s unknown, we must put our TRUST in the One who knows what’s best for our lives and remember to be thankful. He is our constant source of STRENGTH.

God asks us to cultivate a heart of THANKFULNESS in ALL situations. 1 Thessalonians 5: 18 says, “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. When we focus on our blessings, it’s easier to deal with life’s difficulties and find PEACE from the heart of our praise.

Praising God honors Him! It strengthens our faith and helps us think about what is good. How can we cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving? We can reflect on what's already been given and recognize God will always guide and provide.

He offers a harvest of HOPE and opens our eyes to celebrate seasons of blessing, even when we don't know how they will come.  He will fill us with everything we NEED to recognize His reward and welcome the love of a grateful heart.

Dear God, as we prepare for Thanksgiving, help remember to be thankful. ♥ Open our eyes to ALL You provide and guide us to a prayer of praise. We will love You with all of our hearts and humbly consider how very much we are loved. We will never forget why the LOVE of GRATITUDE will honor YOU and bless us in beautiful ways. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, so very much! Amen
