“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? Luke 15: 4

Christ is waiting and available when we call. And when we ready our hearts to welcome the presence of peace, He helps us understand the love of our Father. He opens the door for HOPE to arrive so we will welcome the power of HIS love.

Jesus came to demonstrate God’s LOVE. Sometimes we forget why we need Him. He came to do the will of the Father and reach EVERY one of us. He was sent to preach the good news about the kingdom and lead us from the darkness. He came because God sent Him to seek and save the weary and lost.

He is the Good Shepherd! Jesus watches over His sheep. He knows us by name and gently pulls us back where we belong. He cradles us in care and reminds us how it feels to be humbled. He holds us together and strengthens our weakness. Our loving Protector leads us from sin and gives us eternal life.  He is the way to the Father.

Jesus offers grace we don’t deserve. We become distracted by the world. Sometimes, we give Him only a portion of love and forget we are capable of loving SO MUCH MORE! We find ourselves lost. But He knows the heart of those who long to be rescued. He longs for us to love Him fully.

Jesus wants us to remember we are WORTHY of being loved by Him. He will help us embrace an attitude of praise. He is the way, the truth and the life. He will lead us to the Father as we seek Him, surrender our selfish ways and know Him as Lord of our lives. He will lead us back where we belong. He will bring peace to our souls and joy in His presence if we will surrender our doubt and choose to faithfully TRUST.

Dear God, we’re so grateful for the love of our Good Shepherd. Humble our hearts to recognize HE is the way, the truth and the life. Thank you for Jesus and His power to save. Renew our hearts and give us PEACE that passes all understanding in this Christmas season. Thank you for finding us when we need to be rescued. We will find comfort in the arms of Your STRENGTH and remember HOPE came to rescue us when Jesus was born. Thank you, Lord! Amen
