“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? Luke 15: 4

Christ is waiting and available when we pray. When we welcome His presence, He helps us recognize the need for His guiding. He sees what we carry in our hearts and knows when we need to be restored. He invites us to journey together and walk in the light of His love. He carries our burdens and provides PEACE as we journey together.

Jesus came to demonstrate God’s LOVE. Sometimes we forget WHY we need Him. He came to do the will of the Father and reach EACH one of us. He was sent to preach GOOD news about the kingdom and save us from sin. He was born to die and live again. He took our pain so we will share eternity with Him and know Him as Lord of our lives.

Consider the manger and remember God’s will was fulfilled with the birth of our Lord. As we welcome this Christmas season, we should take time to remember He was born in the crudeness of a stable not fit for a king. It should humble our hearts to love Him MORE and nurture our souls for His greatness.

When we become lost by distractions in the world, it moves us farther away from finding PEACE. Jesus helps us recognize why earthly persuasions will never satisfy the longing for JOY. We were created to desire what God desires for us. If we pray to understand, we will discover the fullness of Christ and witness how it feels to be held by mercy and grace.

We must step closer to the One who watches over us. Jesus, the GOOD SHEPHERD knows us by name and gently pulls us back where we belong when we step too far away. He cradles us in care and reminds us how it feels to be faithful. He holds us together, leads us to the Father and arms us with everything we need to be blessed.

JESUS inspires excitement for our journeys! He renews a spirit of thankfulness as we welcome the Christmas season. “Joy to the world the Lord has come!” I pray you choose to receive His peace. He will do what needs to be done to restore a spirit of thankfulness. He WILL lead us to the Father as we journey with Him and choose to walk in the light of His amazing love.

Dear God, we’re so grateful for the love of our Good Shepherd. Humble our hearts to recognize HE is the way, the truth and the life. Thank you for Jesus and His power to save. Renew our hearts and give us PEACE that passes all understanding EVERY day of our lives. Thank you for finding us when we need to be rescued. We will find comfort in the arms of Your STRENGTH and remember HOPE came to heal when Jesus was born. Thank you, Lord! Thank you for JOY which comes from loving YOU. Amen
